Kind of a slow burn, but it's the good kind of a slow born. The author takes her time with character development and world-building, and a great deal of the excitement initially comes from the sexual tension between the characters rather than their deed.
What I truly applaud is the amount of effort that went into making Ashe a good main character. She is the best part of this story and far more than a mere blank slate. Still, the rest of the cast are all solid. They are characters, not stereotypes.
The sexual content is also excellent, without ever feeling forced. There is one scene in particular, where Ashe gets really really high, that had all the elements to be terrible and somehow is my absolute favourite so far.
The game as is, is well worth the price of admission.
A good story with relatable elements. A few of the characters seem quite rounded, it is good to see them develop. A handful of others seem flat and placed in only for the fantasies, which this is that kind of game so it's understandable. The same can be said for some of the scenes. However the rest of the story is engaging so far and Ashe's attempt to understand herself and those around her while dealing with insecurities and trauma is written well. I look forward to seeing the story developed further! My only gripe, is that I was hoping to save my Ashe's virginity for a certain someone, but there comes a moment in the story where intercourse is offered and Ashe accepts it. Perhaps it will make for interesting storytelling in later chapters, but if possible I would like to choose who Ashe does the deed with.
Choosing Ashe's partners is definitely something you'll see more of as the story progresses. I aim to leave the choice who she'll end up in bed with to the player as much as possible. For story reasons there are certain key points (like the scene you mentioned) where that's not always the case.
